Patrick Shaw is a visiting assistant professor in the department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media. He has 12+ years of game design and management experience with projects including Star Wars edutainment, the Sims, and military simulations. Patrick believes that great games bring people together through shared emotional and meaningful experiences. Patrick has a Masters of Arts degree from the department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media at Michigan State University. His research focused on the role of player motivation and behavioral incentives on game selection. He is currently teaching courses in mobile game design, serious game design, and interactive media design.
