Laeeq Khan is a doctoral student in the Media & Information Studies program under the supervision of Dr. Charles Steinfield. He has a Masters degree in Telecommunications Systems Management and an MBA from Murray State University, KY. Besides his expertise in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses both online and face-to-face, his research interest areas include virtual communities, instructional technologies and online learning, uses of online social networks, and ICT for development. He is currently working on a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funded project titled: “Social media and college aspirations: A social capital perspective”.
