Yvette is interested in the social and psychological effects of interactions in virtual environments, particularly how non-conscious processes affect behavior. She has done research examining the role of reciprocity and development of social capital in social games, and positive/negative effects of social media use in educational and entertainment contexts. She is currently working on unraveling the process of media habit formation and the fine line between a healthy habit and addiction.
