Alcides Velasquez is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Media and Information Studies program. He is part of The Online Interaction Research lab (TOIL) in the department of Telecommunication, Information Studies & Media.
His research interests include online political participation, lifecycles in online communities, and information and communication technologies for development.
