Undergraduate Majors

The Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies and Media currently offers the following major, approved beginning Fall 2011:

• Media & Information (B.A. and B.S.) - Bachelors of Arts and Bachelors of Science options are available with concentrations in TV, Cinema & Radio, Interactive and Social Media, or Media Management. The requirements are available on the main CAS website.

The following two prior majors offered by the department have been superseded by the new major above and are no longer open to new students.

• Media Arts & Technology (B.A.) - Bachelors of Arts with concentrations in TV, Cinema & Radio and Games, Web and Interactive Media. This degree focuses on training students to create original content for media, from broadcast to videogames. Please refer to the CAS Academic Programs page for MAT degree requirements.
• Media and Communication Technology (B.S.) - Bachelors of Science with concentrations in Media Management and Research and Information and Communication Technologies. This degree focuses on training students to manage media organizations and information and communication technologies. Please refer to the CAS Academic Programs page for MCT degree requirements.
