SpartaSoft

Spartasoft, a Michigan State University student organization, is devoted to learning and taking part in video game development. We seek to make industry contacts and aid fellow students in future job placement. The majority of our focus lies on gaining skills and experience in game development. We do this through student projects and pro bono work.

Spartasoft actively lobbies MSU Faculty for new classes to teach skills needed for a successful career in game development. We also help students succeed in already established game studies courses (including the newly developed Game Design and Development Specialization). Spartasoft acts as a center for students of varying areas of interest and study, including students from computer science, telecommunications, studio art, english, and music.

We believe that students learn most from hands-on experience. In turn, we have had alumni succeed in professional careers with the skills learned in Spartasoft.
