The Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies and Media seeks an entrepreneurial outreach specialist to manage our growing portfolio of pre-college programs and other events that engage external audiences. The position calls for a strategic planner who can execute without supervision, while being able to work with others and incorporate input. A deep understanding of our department, academic programs, and related industry/fields is required in order to effectively shape and manage the vision of our pre-college and other outreach programs. Current pre-college programs include week-long summer camps in video game design, television production, digital cinema, and music recording.  Major events include conferences and speaker series in areas related to department teaching and research.  Experience with event planning and marketing, fundraising, and budgeting is desired.  Good communication skills are also essential.  Candidates are also expected to be familiar with the use of online content management systems and social media.  This is a fixed term, renewable annual appointment.

Qualifications:  Masters in Telecommunication, Information Studies and Media or related field.  

Desired qualifications other than degree: at least 2 years professional experience in the telecommunication or media industry, or in youth education, or event planning.
