Give the Gift of Education

There are many ways to give (including the ways to get involved described on this page, which mostly describe ways to give time and energy). However, a gift of money, in any amount, is a gift of education because every dollar directly benefits our students and programs. Find out more about giving back.

Hire a TISM student

If you or your company has an opening, please consider hiring a TISM student or alumni. There are always students eager for an opportunity and hands-on experience. Current students are typically interested in internships or part-time jobs, while graduating and recent students are looking for full-time positions. You can find more information on internships / jobs or you can share your opportunity by sending us a position description.  We would love to share your opportunity with our current students and recent alums.

Help recruit a future TISM student

We're always looking for young, bright students to recruit as Spartans! You can help recruit future TISM students by presenting at your local high school or community group. Young students have a lot of unanswered questions and want to hear from someone that's been there. You can share your experience of being a TISM student, attending MSU, and your current career path.

Attend events

If you're interested in staying on top of what's new and innovative in the fields of technology and media, you may be interested in attending events hosted by our department. We often have talks by faculty, students, and guest speakers from around the world that are open to the public. We also sponsor events, such as film screenings and community events that may be of interest to you. Check our homepage for announcements on news and events or our events calendar.

Our college holds alumni-specific events, such as annual homecoming events, an alumni awards banquet, networking events, and special functions. Check the Comm Arts news and events to find out more.

Mentor a student

Our College runs a mentor program where you work directly with current students to help them explore possible career paths, improve networking skills, and gain insight from your experience. Learn more about the CAS Mentor Program.

Represent TISM Alumni on the CAS Alumni Board

We're always looking for outstanding TISM alumni to serve on the College of Communication Arts and Sciences Alumni Board. Board members provide leadership to the college, strategize the college's alumni activities, and recruit students to our programs. Find out more about the CAS Alumni Board.

Honor a TISM faculty member or another TISM alum

Awards are given annually to faculty and alumni at the Alumni Awards Banquet. You can nominate a TISM faculty member for the Faculty Impact Award or nominate a TISM alum or friend for a CAS Alumni Award. Nominate someone for a CAS Alumni Award.
